Mission

Our mission is "Helping people reach their God-given potential in spirit, mind and body."

Here are a few examples of our mission in action:

• Through our Open Doors Financial Assistance program, we offer assistance to individuals and families in our community to ensure that no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.
• Community Outreach Services is the outreach arm of the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina which provides services to our community. Some programs include adult literacy, family mentoring and after-school assistance, among others.
• The YMCA encourages our members, program participants and staff to include our character development values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and Faith in their activities.
