Specialty Half-Day Summer Camps 


Sewing Camp
If you’ve ever wanted to learn to sew now is your chance! We’ll start with a simple pattern, and teach you how to transform a piece of fabric into something all your own.
We will show you how to make a pair of shorts that you can wear home on Friday.

Session: July 28-Aug.1
Time: 9am-12pm
Ages: 10-18yrs.

Photography & Scrapbooking
At this camp you will learn how to take pictures underwater, outside both in the sun and in the shade. You will take funny pictures, serious pictures, people pictures, nature pictures lots and lots of pictures. Then we’ll take all the pictures and cut them, crop them, paste them, write about them and display them in an artistic and fun way.

Session 1: June 23-27
Session 2: July 14-18
Time: 9-12pm
Ages: 8-18yrs.

Babysitting Camp

Learn how to be a great babysitter! Become a certified babysitter, through our Red Cross Babysitter Course. Find out what simple games you can use to keep the children entertained. Learn what you need to do in an emergency situation.

Session 1: June 16-20
Time: 1pm-4pm
Ages: 11-15yrs.

Cooking Camp
If you like to cook this may be the camp for you. We will learn how to prepare healthy snacks, read and follow recipes. Learn about safety in the kitchen, food preparation, precautions and how to have fun with food.

Session: July 21-25
Time: 9am-12pm
Ages: 10-18yrs.

Swimming Fundamentals
In this camp we will work on front and back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, sidestroke and elementary backstroke. You will learn how to do starts and turns, surface dives and rescue dives. You will learn simple rescue techniques and when to call for help. You must swim at a green level to participate.

Session 1: June 16-20

Wet & Wild Camp
At this camp there will be lots of fun and lots of water, not just pool water. We will throw water, catch water, have races and relays in the water an out of the water. Plan to get wet and have gallons of fun.

Session: July 7-11
Time: 9am-12pm
Ages: 8-12yrs.

Dance Camp
Learn square dancing, line dancing and much more. Let’s kick up our heals and have some fun.

Session: July 21-25
Time: 1pm-4pm
Ages: 10-18yrs.


Woodworking Camp
Learn to make simple projects out of wood. We will be making birdhouses, and other simple wood projects. After you finish building you can give it a personal touch with stencils and paint.

Session: July 28-Aug.1
Time: 1pm-4pm
Ages: 6-12yrs.


Laugh Olympics
A camp of fun and games set up like an Olympic competition. We will divide into teams, make flags, and have a medal ceremony at the end. Very little athletic ability will be needed. A very big sense of humor is a must!

Session: Aug.4-8/ Aug 11-15
Time: 9am-12pm
Ages: 6-12yrs.


Teen Health & Fitness
Designed to teach teens ages 12-16 years old the importance of proper strength and cardiovascular training. Participants will learn a variety of exercises to enhance their current programs or assist beginners with new programs. By the end of the week these campers will know the components of exercise as well as the FITT principles of these components. Enjoy a weeks worth of physical activity progression and learn to incorporate physical activity into your daily schedules. Males and females welcome.

Session: July 7-11
Time: 9am-12pm
Ages: 12-16yrs.

Drama Camp
Lights, camera, action! If you love drama this is the camp for you! At this camp you will choose a play. Audition for a part, and together with other campers put on a show for your parents on Friday.
Session: Aug 11-15 and Aug 18-22
Time: 1pm-4pm
Performance Aug.22 at 6pm
Ages: 6-12yrs.

Eat, Skip, Jump and Run…
Come on out to Fulton Family YMCA and eat, skip, jump and run through this week of physical activity for boys and girls ages 8-11 years old. This camp was created to instill old fashioned physical activity into the daily lives of youth. Participants will be taught the important of proper nutrition and exercise in a creative style designed for their level. We’re gonna move it, move it, move it!!

Session: Aug 4-11
Time: 9am-12pm
Ages: 8-11yrs.

Y Divas
This camp is a weight management camp for girls ages 10 -13 years old. Participants will learn appropriate steps for healthy eating and exercise habits as a way of life. Activities include nutritional lectures, life coaching, food journaling, physical activities and more presented by wellness staff, nutritionist and life coach. Live your life healthy and be who you want to be…join us for fun, facts and fitness. Participants must be medically 20 pounds or more overweight with doctor approval to attend.

Session: June 16-19

Ages: 12-16yrs.
